Casa Mia is voted Best Family Restaurant

Leeds-based Italian restaurant chain Casa Mia is celebrating today after scooping a prestigious industry awards at the Leeds Restaurant Association Awards.

Casa Mia, which prides itself on providing authentic Italian cuisine, beat off stiff competition to be crowned ‘Best Family Restaurant’, as voted for by members of the public.

Speaking about the win, Francesco said: “I’m absolutely delighted that Casa Mia has been voted ‘Best Family Restaurant’ by the public and would like to say a big thanks to all those who voted for us.
“In Italy, family meals are an incredibly important part of the day and we’ve tried to recreate that type of experience in our restaurants, which has obviously paid off!”
“We pride ourselves on making both adults and children feel welcome, often putting on child-friendly activities to make the dining experience enjoyable for the whole family. In fact, we have a children’s Christmas card competition happening on the 16th December, which promises to be a great day out for the whole family.”
Francesco and his wife Marta Mazzella set up the first Casa Mia restaurant in Chapel Allerton in 1998. Since then the business has grown and now totals three restaurants – the original Casa Mia Coffee Shop and Casa Mia Grande, both based in the Chapel Allerton area of the city, and Casa Mia Millennium, situated in Millennium Square. Now employing 90 staff, Casa Mia also offers an outside catering service, providing quality catering to locations and events throughout Yorkshire.
