Taste of Leeds Festival
We were delighted to take part in the first ever Taste festival to
happen in Leeds, which proved to be a great success.
The four-day Taste of Leeds event, which took place from the 5th to 8th of June, welcomed over 10,000 visitors to Millennium Square who all helped to celebrate the city’s finest restaurants, food and drink. We cooked up a storm at the event and offered diners three mouth-watering Italian dishes to choose from, freshly prepared at our stand so visitors could see, smell, and of course taste, everything our chefs prepared. The culinary delights we offered, which are all available at Casa Mia Grande, included:
Culinary delights on offer include:
- Nozze di mare - a marriage of king tiger prawns and king scallops roasted with garlic, white wine, lemon juice, olive oil and fresh ginger
- Fettuccine al nero di seppia - fresh homemade black ribbon pasta, cooked with fish and shellfish, garlic, cherry tomatoes and white wine
- Parmiggiana di melenzane & zucchini - alternative layers of pan-fried courgettes and aubergines with fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella and fresh basil
Visitors to the festival were also able to sample signature dishes from other award-winning restaurants in Yorkshire, learn how to re-create Michelin-starred restaurant quality dishes at home, purchase the finest quality ingredients and hear tips from some of the UK’s most renowned chefs. We will also be taking part in next year’s event so make sure you keep an eye out for more details in forthcoming issues of the newsletter!
